Dental implants are the best long-term option to replace missing teeth. Using premium medical-grade titanium implants, which fuses to your living bone, our Boerne TX dental team are able to produce a natural-looking replacement for your teeth. Dental implants can be used to replace one missing tooth, or several with just one procedure.
Quick Facts about Dental Implants
- Dental implants can be placed in one visit
- Single implants replace one tooth
- If several teeth are missing, multiple implants can be placed
- If you’re missing more than one tooth, an All-On-4 or All-On-6 may be used
- Either 4 or 6 plants can be placed to replace an entire arch
- Have dentures? Implants can be used to fix the denture in place
What is the difference between an implant and a crown?
An implant is a full replacement tooth which replaces both the roots and the tooth. An implant has three parts to it. (1) The implant. The implant replaces the root of the tooth. (2) The abutment. The abutment is screwed into the implant and retains the crown. (3) The crown. The crown is the replacement tooth.
How much do dental implants cost?
At our office a single tooth implant costs $3,000. This includes removal of a bad/broken tooth, any necessary bone grafting, placement of the implant, and the crown. There are situations where you may need to replace all of the teeth in the jaw. For these situations we have several different solutions. The cost to replace a full jaw (either upper or lower) can be anywhere between $7,000 to $16,000 depending on the situation.
Why choose you over a specialist?
When you have an implant placed with us, you will have all of your procedures conveniently done in one office. Because it is more convenient, it is also less expensive to have an implant placed with us.
What is the recovery time like? Will I be without teeth?
An implant procedure is less invasive than removing a tooth and thus much less uncomfortable. Most patients will experience some discomfort for a day or two which can generally be managed with over the counter mediactions such as ibuprofen. We will never leave you without front teeth. There are several ways that we can have temporary teeth made for you. If we place a back tooth implant we usually will allow the implant to heal but you always have the option of having a temporary made.
